You are the absolute owner of your gold. You will own pure gold grams of 999.9 fine gold bars. When you purchase gold through your Gold Made Simple ® account, the gold is allocated to you and you hold and own the metal in your name.

This allocated gold is deposited under the safe-keeping and custody of Gold Made Simple ®. The quantity of customer allocated gold recorded in the Gold Made Simple ® database always equal's the exact amount of gold stored in the vaults. It remains in the ownership of the individual or institution placing it for safe custody with Gold Made Simple ® . Your gold is therefore not recorded on the Gold Made Simple's ® balance sheet, which means that Gold Made Simple ® does not have any direct claim on the gold. The owner of allocated gold keeps legal ownership over the allocated gold and it remains an asset without a counterpart liability. Gold Made Simple ® safeguard's and manage's your gold on your behalf.

When you buy Gold Grams from Gold Made Simple ® you are not buying a "paper gold" product such as an exchange traded fund (ETF) where you rely on the ETF's ability to obtain and redeem gold for you when you want to sell it. 

Because you own grams of the gold bullion bar and not necessarily the whole bar you unfortunately cannot have it delivered, as you would if you bought a whole gold bullion bar or coin. You can sell your gold grams at any time* relative to the live spot price of gold bullion.
